Queens Bar Detroit! A Sneak Peek Inside The Bar That Wants No Introduction
Let me start by saying I already love Queens Bar Detroit. Ya know why? Because they give zero fucks. 😆 They don’t care if they’re mentioned in fancy articles, they don’t want to do interviews, they don’t want to get caught up in crafty foodie bullshit, they just wanna throw open the doors and do what they do.
Queens Bar Detroit is brought to you by the owner of Cliff Bell’s, and Bronx Bar. Get it, Bronx.. Queens… 😉 These are bars for people who love REAL bars. Wood. Beer. Booze. History. Swearing. And killer music.
BEST VIEW IN DETROIT
Queens Bar Detroit is located at the corner of E Grand River and Farmer St.
It has insane wrap around windows and one of the coolest panoramic views I’ve seen. Check out the People Mover, the giant mural by Shepard Fairey, and some pretty entertaining foot traffic.
You’ll also find a couple super Instagrammable porthole doors.
I was surprised to hear that the entire inside was built from scratch. It looks and feels old. It’s classic, art-deco, and somehow makes you feel comfortable instantly.
Queens will also have a big outdoor patio. Rumor has it this patio will be dog friendly. We’ll have to wait ’til they open to 100% confirm this, but it sounded like a thumbs up.
Bean and I are super excited to get back to Queens when they open to the public. There are several parks in the area, and Queens is only 13 dog walk minutes from the beautiful Detroit River Walk. In addition, Checker Bar is 7 minutes away on foot, and they are very dog friendly. ♥
As it stands, Queens Bar Detroit will be OPEN Saturday, May 21st. Be sure to order a champagne on TAP. Wuuuuuttttt 😍
